Faith Hill's Second Fragrance Released

Country music singer Faith Hill recently released her second fragrance, "Faith Hill True, by Coty". Hill says it embodies a "woman's incredible sense of self". Also stating that she wanted to create, “Scents you could wear everyday, whether you’re at home in your sweats or dressed up for a night.

Opening with a burst of exotic citrus, Faith Hill True weaves a breezy, floral middle and finishes with a woody base of warmth and subtle sexuality.

Coty To Develop Perfume For Lady Gaga

Coty Inc., a leading global beauty company, officially announced today the signing of international artistic force Lady Gaga to develop and market her first-ever signature fragrance.

Having sold more than 13 million albums and 52 million singles worldwide, Lady Gaga is one of the most influential celebrities and powerful musicians today, making the artist the most recent dynamic addition to Coty's portfolio of celebrity partnerships. Lady Gaga's perfume will be a seamless extension of her combined talent for music, video, fashion and art. The creation of a fragrance ultimately will allow Lady Gaga to intimately connect with her fans on a global scale.

Coty is recognized as a world leader in celebrity fragrance. The yet-to-be named fragrance line is expected to launch in spring 2012. Distributed worldwide, the fragrance will be managed by the Company's Coty Beauty division in close collaboration with Lady Gaga. Marketing plans for the fragrance are currently in development.Additional information will be announced closer to the launch. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

20 Years Of Vera Wang

Has it been 20 years already, Vera? We can hardly believe it and it's probably because everything Wang creates is timeless. In honor of her 20th anniversary, Vera Wang has created a sensual, woody floral scent simply called Vera Wang Anniversary.

The lavender-hued perfume is poured into an elegant faceted bottle embellished with lavender petals and topped with a clear glass cap and platinum collar -- signature style elements that are synonymous with Vera Wang fragrances.

The fragrance has top notes of Sicilian bergamot, red apple leaves, mandarin oil and cool dew drops. The heart is a rich bouquet of white gardenia, rose absolute and orange flowers. And it dries down to silky musks, creamy orris, golden amber crystals, and warm cedarwood.

Elizabeth Arden To Make Taylor Swift Fragrance

Taylor Swift has just signed a deal with Elizabeth Arden to release her first fragrance in Autumn 2011. Swift claims to be a big fan of perfumes and plans to be thoroughly involved in the creation process.

Lately I've been experimenting with combining some of my favourite scents, so I'm really excited about working with Elizabeth Arden to develop my own unique fragrance,' said Swift. She says, 'I have always loved how fragrance can shape a memory the way certain scents remind you of events and people that are imprinted in your thoughts.

Only 47 Bottles Of Abeille D’Exception In The World

There are only 47 bottles of “Abeille D’Exception by Guerlain” (the bee of Guerlain) perfume in the world. The scent, created by head perfumer Thierry Wasser. The bee has been a symbol of Guerlain since founder Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain came to fame crafting perfumes for Empress Eugénie of France, who reigned reigned from 1853 to 1870; the bee was the emblem of France’s Second Empire. (It’s also fitting that both bees and perfumeries are closely associated with flowers.)

The handmade, individually numbered Baccarat crystal that holds the perfume is bee shaped—two large clear wings holding up a central flacon. It is a little pricey, of course—$19,232 US dollars, more expensive than in Paris, where the 245-milliliter bottle costs 12,500 euros (US$17,593). But what does it smell like? Guerlain rolls out a number of phrases: “green gust of air,” “a scent of grass, full of dense, rich sap,” and then the flowers “Mimosa, orange blossom, jasmine.”

Guerlain says the exclusive bee flacon, which can be displayed as art even after the perfume is gone, may attract buyers. The last time the company made an exclusive bottle like this was close to a century ago, with a turtle-shaped flask in 1914; a snail bottle was featured in 1902. And the perfume itself could last a lifetime; the bottle is eight times as large as the usual 30-milliliter portion for parfum at 240-milliliter.

Vera Wang To Give Leighton Meester $3M To Promote Fragrance

Actress Leighton Meester has apparently landed a 3 million dollar deal to be the face of Vera Wang’s new fragrance.The “Gossip Girl” star just signed a two-year contract with Wang for the scent, which will debut next summer.Due to hit beauty counters in summer 2011, the next Vera Wang scent will be specifically aimed at younger clientele.

Leighton is shooting the campaign this weekend in Manhattan by famous director Carter Smith. Although details of the fragrance haven’t been revealed, one industry insider said. This is a huge deal for a young star and one that will turn some of Leighton’s cast mates green with envy.
